Felipe Mavromatis is a Real Tough Lawyer in the courtroom and a compassionate advocate outside of it. His life’s work is dedicated to facilitating his clients’ mental, physical, and financial recovery. He lives by the golden rule—do unto others as you would have others do unto you. This principle has translated into tens of millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients over a decade of litigating cases.
Felipe, who is Greek and Brazilian, hails from Miami, Florida. He loves cultures and languages and is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. Before attending college, he served a two-year volunteer mission in Japan, where he studied and learned Japanese.
He holds a Political Science degree from Brigham Young University in Utah, graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois College of Law, and earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Florida.
On a personal note, Felipe is happily married to his Persian sweetheart and loves being a father to his two kids and dog, Layla. He is perpetually studying Farsi to keep up with his wife and kids. Outside his continuous Farsi studies, Felipe enjoys visiting theme parks and playing, watching, and coaching soccer (¡Vamos Orlando!). He also prays the Miami Dolphins will be a Super Bowl contender.
Accomplishments
Felipe has worked in the Elder Financial Justice Clinic defending the rights of the elderly in Champaign, Illinois. He also served as the Global Communications Manager for a multinational corporation based in Provo, Utah, and worked as a legislative intern for the Utah State Senate. Throughout law school, he gained valuable experience as an honors intern at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), assisting in federal cases involving domestic terrorism, Medicare fraud, child pornography, sex trafficking, and child molestation.
Today, at Osborne & Francis, Felipe leverages his litigation experience, personality, and skills to demand accountability from wrongdoers on behalf of his clients. He has been named Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers and recognized by both Best Lawyers in America and Superlawyers.
