Attorney Ami Romanelli has nearly ten years of experience in a variety of legal areas including medical malpractice litigation, product liability, mass torts and securities litigation. Ami was born and raised in Oviedo, Florida. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, she earned her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale.
While in law school, Ami clerked for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) n/k/a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in the Regulatory Enforcement Division. She was also active in the Nova Southeastern International Citator and Research Guide publication.
In November 2014, Ami was part of a trial team of lawyers representing four clients who suffered injuries from Boston Scientific’s Pinnacle Pelvic Floor Repair Kit. The Pinnacle mesh kit is implanted for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Each client was awarded an average of 6.6 million dollars in compensatory damages due to injuries suffered from the defective design of the product.
In 2016 Ami was part of the litigation team that won a significant verdict for their client against Zimmer Biomet in excess of $2Million.
